	The National Association of REALTORS® strives to be the collective force influencing and shaping the real estate industry. It seeks to be the leading advocate of the right to own, use, and transfer real property; the acknowledged leader in developing standards for efficient, effective, and ethical real estate business practices; and valued by highly skilled real estate professionals and viewed by them as crucial to their success.
	The purpose of the Utah Association of REALTORS® is to serve its members representing all facets of the real estate industry by providing and promoting programs and services to enhance members' freedom and ability to conduct their business successfully, with integrity and competency, and through collective action to promote the preservation and extension of the right to own, transfer and use real property.
	The Salt Lake Board of REALTORS® is the Wasatch Front's voice of real estate and the No. 1 source for housing market trends. As a professional trade association, the Salt Lake Board of REALTORS® has the largest membership of the 14 real estate associations across Utah and is a leader in protecting private property rights. REALTORS® receive extensive training that goes beyond the minimal requirements of most agents. In addition, REALTORS® adhere to a strict code of ethics. It's what distinguishes a professional from a sales agent.
	The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) has been the source for education, resources, information, and membership for real estate management professionals for more than 75 years. An affiliate of the National Association of Realtors®, IREM is the only professional real estate management association serving both the multi-family and commercial real estate sectors. With 80 U.S. chapters, 13 international chapters, and several other partnerships around the globe, IREM is an international organization that also serves as an advocate on issues affecting the real estate management industry.
	The Council of Residential Specialists (CRS) is the largest not-for-profit affiliate of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS®, with its headquarters in Chicago, Ill. It is composed of over 38,000 Certified Residential Specialists (CRS) Designees and Candidates/General Members. The association was created to recruit and retain those REALTORS® and international real estate professionals seeking the knowledge, tools and relationship-building opportunities and referral opportunities they need to maximize their income and professionalism in residential real estate.
	For many real estate professionals, short sales and foreclosures are the new “traditional” real estate transaction. Knowing how to help sellers maneuver the complexities of short sales as well as help buyers pursue short sale and foreclosure opportunities are not merely good skills to have in today’s market — they are critical. And while short sales and foreclosures are not for the faint of heart, agents with the proper tools and training can use these specialty areas to build their business for the long term.
	The Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI) symbol is the mark of a real estate professional who has made the commitment to provide a high level of professional services by securing a strong educational foundation. REALTORS® with the GRI designation are highly trained in many areas of real estate to better serve and protect their clients. When you see the letters "GRI" after an agent's name, you can count on receiving the knowledge and guidance you need to make your transaction go smoothly. In short, you can count on getting the best service available from a real estate professional.
